Artist/writer Jan B. Parker lives and works on the coast of North Carolina, the wonderland she calls home. A few of her publishing credentials are: The Broad River Review , Change Seven Magazine, Earth’s Daughters, Germ Magazine, Shark Reef Literary Magazine, South Writ Large 2012, South Writ Large 2014, When Women Waken, Glint Literary Journal.
Jan’s latest award is the Professional Development Grant for Artists, 2016-2017, bestowed by the UAC of Raleigh and Wake County. She is the fiction editor for Main Street Rag Quarterly, a member and former trustee of the NC Writers Network, and she belongs to The Author’s Guild. In January 2020, Jan founded The Writers’ Exchange Beaufort NC, a free and open, disciplined critique group featuring twice-monthly On-The-Fly critiques for the literary community, currently meeting via Zoom.
